Project Development Grant – General Guidelines

HOW TO APPLY

• Project statement of 325 words
3. UPLOAD YOUR SUBMISSION BEFORE THE DEADLINE

ELIGIBILITY

• ELIGIBLE: All of CENTER’s Call for Entry opportunities accept submissions from international photographers and artists. Work can have been made at any time and work that has been submitted previously may be re-submitted as we have new jurors each year. Work derived from all photographic processes is accepted, as well as mixed media that is photo-based. ONLY the Multimedia Award accepts video, multimedia files, and/or still images for submission.
• NOT ELIGIBLE: If a project has been part of a major metropolitan museum one or two-person exhibition; published in book form by a major photographic publishing house with a print run of 2,000 or more; and/or the photographer is represented by a major international photographic agency. Applies to the Project Launch Grant, Project Development Grant, and the me&EVE Award ONLY.
• FUNDS: Grant funds may be used for most expenses related to the project. Review more details regarding grant funds on our FAQ page below.
• CONTRACT: Grant recipients are required to sign a contract and must fulfill contractual obligations in order to receive the full funds. Submission to the Project Launch Grant, Project Development Grant, and/or the me&EVE Award indicates acceptance of these terms.

REVIEW SANTA FE PHOTO FESTIVAL

CENTER’s premier juried portfolio review event is a weekend conference and festival for photographers who have created a project or series and are seeking audience expansion, critical issues, and community connection in the profoundly unique sense of place, Santa Fe, NM. Tuition includes 9 formal portfolio reviews, participation in the Portfolio Walk, inclusion in the Review Santa Fe 100 online index, opening night reception, Photographer Presentations, Scholar Presentations, and closing party.

ELIGIBILITY

• EVENT: In order to attend the event, you must receive an INVITATION from us directly. With this in mind, yes, there is a waitlist that is chosen by the selection committee. You will be provided with an event schedule that includes nine, 20-min formal portfolio reviews over the course of two days. Reviewer preferences are selected via an electric lottery system two weeks prior to the event in October. *Please note, occasionally there are additional portfolio reviews that become available during the weekend’s event, and are available for an additional price, as first-come-first-serve, during the specific listed review times.
• SCHOLARSHIPS: Scholarship applications open after invitations have been sent out in May. If selected for financial assistance, the provided scholarships range in the amount of either half or full-tuition.
• ELIGIBLE: All of CENTER’s Call for Entry opportunities accept submissions from international photographers and artists.
