TRANSPORTATION:
• Albuquerque Sunport is the nearest international airport. Santa Fe is located one hour north of Albuquerque. Rental cars are inexpensive, and the Sandia Shuttle Express offers an airport shuttle service.
• The City of Santa Fe has a municipal airport located about 14.4 miles from the La Fonda on the Plaza hotel. Visit the Santa Fe airport website for local transportation options.

HIGH ALTITUDE | Please keep in mind that Santa Fe is at 7,000 feet above sea level in what is considered the high desert. Santa Fe is higher than the “mile high city” of Denver. Altitude sickness is a problem that can occur when you travel to this elevation. The air at high altitudes contains less oxygen than at sea level, so your body has to work harder to get the oxygen it needs. Give your body time to adjust – even if you consider yourself to be physically fit.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT | We acknowledge that Santa Fe, New Mexico, is located in the ancestral and unceded traditional territories of the Tewa people, who continue to maintain connections to this land. Thousands of years ago, O’ghe P’oghe – the original Tewa name for Santa Fe, which means White Shell, Water Place – was a center place for Northern and Southern Tewa communities. We honor the Tewa people of the past, present, and future who inhabited, held sacred, and stewarded this land.

HEALTH & SAFETY UPDATES:

However, the in-person programming is subject to change as CENTER reserves the right to make the necessary changes to ensure the safety of its staff, participants, and the public.

The health and safety of our community is our highest priority. Please stay tuned for more updates on the CENTER 2023 policy. Thank you for your understanding.
