TRANSPORTATION:
Albuquerque Sunport is the nearest international airport. Santa Fe is located one hour north of Albuquerque. Rental cars are inexpensive, and Sandia Shuttle Express offers an airport shuttle service.

The City of Santa Fe has a municipal airport located about 14.4 miles from the La Fonda on the Plaza hotel. Visit the Santa Fe airport website for transportation options.

HIGH ALTITUDE:
Please keep in mind that Santa Fe is at 7,000 feet above sea level in what is considered the high desert. Santa Fe is higher than the “mile high city” of Denver. Altitude sickness is a problem that can occur when you travel to this elevation. The air at high altitudes contains less oxygen than at sea level, so your body has to work harder to get the oxygen it needs. Give your body time to adjust – even if you consider yourself to be physically fit.

COVID-19 UPDATES:
The portfolio review events and photo symposium is scheduled for Nov 17-20, 2022. We are planning on hosting in-person events as well as offering some online components. However, the in-person programming is subject to change as CENTER reserves the right to make the necessary changes based on the latest studies and updates regarding the COVID-19 virus and its variants to ensure the safety of its staff, participants, and public.

*Mask Update: The indoor mask mandate in The State of New Mexico has been lifted, effective 2/17/22.*
*All businesses, large events, and organizations across the state may once again operate at 100% of maximum capacity.*
*There are no current state travel restrictions or requirements for New Mexico.*

The safety and well-being of our program participants and program attendees has always been a top priority for CENTER. Now, more than ever, we are dedicated to helping you feel confident to travel safely. The City of Santa Fe in New Mexico continues to work closely with our business partners, monitoring the new safety procedures and practices being implemented within restaurants, accommodations, attractions, venues, hotels, galleries, and more, to ensure you feel comfortable during your visit to our enchanting city.

The state of New Mexico lifted the requirement for face coverings to be worn in most indoor spaces. Please note: The indoor mask mandate remains in effect for congregate settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and detention facilities. Local and small-businesses are able to set their own face-covering policies.
