The Photo Project MasterClass

November 11 - 14, 2015 • Paris, France

CENTER invites you to join three seasoned professionals who will help you elevate the quality of your work and develop strategies for placing it in the public eye at the premier international photographic art fair, Paris Photo. Special experts round out the program including a Curator Walk-through with the renowned W.M. Hunt and critiques with the award-winning former Photography Director of the Telegraph, Cheryl Newman.

The Photo Project MasterClass is for photographers and others who wish to cultivate interest in the ideas expressed through their photography projects and broaden their audiences. In addition to a group critique session focusing on refining the presentation and packaging of the project, each participant will receive an individual coaching session with the photographic professionals to address project placement.

The coaching team is comprised of professionals with national and international networks. It includes Jessamyn Lovell who brings her experience as an educator and photographer and whose project Dear Erin Hart, recently gained international attention. Ms. Lovell will share some simple but highly effective marketing strategies. Laura Pressley is the Executive Director of CENTER who has served on numerous judging panels and as a nominator for PDN’s 30 and the Look3 Festival and more. Pressley advises on how to refine your project to make the most impact for career opportunities and professional development. Amber Terranova is the Marketing Manager of Schilt Publishing and Producer of Screen Labs which works with documentarians and artists to shape their work for different markets and media platforms. This team will focus on honing and amplifying the visual voice of a project and will discuss editing and sequencing your work for different clients.

The backdrop to this immersive photographic discourse is the incomparable Paris Photo. The trip includes admission to the fair and special tours through many museums and collections in Paris. In addition, CENTER will host a private dinner for the participants and special guests.
